Bill Graves, the President and CEO of American Trucking Associations announced that the United States Senate has passed a long-term highway bill that will greatly benefit the trucking industry. He is urging the House to strongly follow suit.

The bill will provide $2 billion each year for specific highway projects, including freight projects and speeds projects. This bill will also help slow down the spread of tolls throughout U.S. highways. Safety is also a main focus of the bill, and puts an emphasis on driving standards in the trucking industry.

Graves hopes that the House will pass this bill as well, and then send it to the President for approval. This highway bill is a step in the right direction for the advancement of the trucking industry.
