Surface transportation increases in 2011

In October 2011, there was a 12 percent increase involving surface transportation in the trucking industry. This increase occurred between 2010 and 2011 and involved trade between the United States, Canada and Mexico.



The United States Department of Transportation said that this increase equaled $79 billion. Within the last ten years, the worth of the surface transportation trade rose by 65.9 percent amongst the partners of the North American Free Trade Agreement.
