Although diesel fuel prices have been on the decline since the summer, overall the price is still substantially higher than it was in 2010.

Trucking companies are finding it difficult during this tough economic time to maintain profitability. Many trucking fleets are looking into the possibility of increasing their freight rates in hopes that it increases profits.

It has also been hard to find truck drivers across the United States. The shortage of drivers has also put a strain on revenue. But, there has been reasons to believe that the economy is leveling out and the trucking industry has started to improve.
