Diesel declines, first time in 6 weeks

The Department of Energy reported that the national average cost for diesel fell for the first time in six weeks. Diesel had jumped 19.8 cents during that time until the drop, which still leaves the cost 71.8 cents higher than this time last year.


The price of gasoline also fell for the first time in six weeks, dropping 2.1 cents. Oil prices also saw the biggest one-day gain in five weeks.
