Bose Corp. has officially released a new heavy-duty truck seat named the Bose Ride System. The retail price of $5,995 was revealed this week. The company unveiled the seat in late January, but it did not have a set price yet.
The chair is designed to compensate for movements before the driver feels them, helping prevent back pain. It is also intended to combat driver fatigue. The company hopes to cut health care costs and reduce accidents. They said that more than 50 percent of drivers have back problems.
