FedEx has recently announced that it will be raising freight prices by 5.9% on February 1st. The rate increases will apply to less-than-truck load shipments where a number of small loads are all brought together on one truck. Other increases in shipping prices has increased across other areas of the company as well. These rates are part of a standard increase after the company evaluates various aspects of its operations and attempts to pick the best price point.
